Dino Kids

A free coloring app for kids: 250+ pictures to color with a finger

Dino Kids is a free coloring app for kids from age 3, with no ads. The pictures have thick, closed outlines, so wherever a three-year-old taps the paint bucket, the color stays inside that shape. Beside coloring there is color mixing, free drawing on blank paper and dot-to-dot — all in the Art corner of the app.

Finger coloring that stays inside the lines

Your child picks a theme, then a picture. One tap of the paint bucket fills a whole area; for careful work they switch to a pen. A finger, an Apple Pencil or an ordinary stylus all work.

  1. Over 250 pictures in 16 themes. 87 are there from the moment the app is installed; the rest download by themselves.
  2. 30 steps of undo. A slip is no problem — tap back and it is gone.
  3. Finished pictures go on the child's picture shelf. The next day, Keep coloring picks up the one left half done.

Color mixing like a real paint box

Your child picks two to five colors and presses Mix: blue and yellow make green. The new color goes into their own paint box, ready to use when they color — a way to see with their own eyes where colors come from.

Free drawing on blank paper

Tired of the ready-made pictures? Your child can draw on blank paper with a pencil, a brush and a glitter pen, or start from one of 34 stamp shapes — from circles and stars to a cat or a house.

Dot-to-dot, then the shape colors itself

Your child joins the dots to make a shape; when the line closes, the shape fills itself with color. There are 100 guided puzzles, ordered from easy to hard.

Your child's paper drawing becomes a coloring page

Your child has just drawn a cat in crayon and wants to color in that very cat. In Art, tap Add a picture and take a photo of the page: the app turns it into black lines on white paper, and your child's drawing sits next to the ready-made pictures. The photo stays on the device and is never uploaded.

Every step, with screenshots, is in Turn a child's drawing into a coloring page.

Questions parents ask

Is this coloring app really free?

Yes. Dino Kids is free on the App Store and Google Play, with no subscription, no in-app purchases and no advertising. Every coloring page is open from the start; nothing is locked behind a payment.

Will a three-year-old coloring with a finger go over the lines?

The pictures have thick, closed outlines, so one tap of the paint bucket fills only that area. A finger, an Apple Pencil or an ordinary stylus all work, and undo goes back up to 30 steps.

Does this coloring app work offline, without the internet?

Yes. 87 pictures are on the device as soon as the app is installed. The rest download by themselves when there is a connection, and once downloaded they can be colored offline too.

Can I turn my child's paper drawing into a coloring page?

Yes. In Art, a parent taps Add a picture, then takes a photo of the drawing or picks an image already on the device. The app turns it into black lines on white so your child can color it. The photo stays on the device and is never uploaded.
